Hands on Birmingham had an awesome event last Friday Night called Southern Summer Night! They held a silent auction to raise funds for the organization.
I have always had a love and passion for art. When I was in high school I first learned about darkroom photography and enjoyed it so much that I kept up with it. I realized that I actually wanted to be a photographer when I went to Italy in May of 2006 and couldn't put my camera down. I took more film classes at UAB and eventually started taking digital classes. In May of 2009 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Concentration in photography.
Last year, I had the opportunity to intern with Amelia Strauss Photography who is a wonderful photographer. She taught me so much and helped me to go out on my own. We have become great friends and I am so thankful to have known her.
Owning my own business is such a great experience and I hope to make great friends, travel, and do good with my work for years to come. I feel so blessed and greatful to God that I have the opportunity to give my talents back to the world.
I hope everyone enjoys my blog as I start a new chapter in my life as a photographer. Check out my website! www.melissapardi.com
